The Maggie Books
Once there was a highly opinionated basset hound named Maggie. She lived in NYC with an unruly pack of humans known as the Stanton family. Though it took a little time, the Stantons finally got it through their thick skulls just who was the boss of this family and duly fell into line. Issues such as who gets fed kibble sauteed in butter and who has first dibs for long naps on the couch were resolved. A kind of benevolent dictatorship was established with you know who calling the shots. Bill Stanton became the designated photographer whose job it was to chronicle the world of Maggie.
Three books resulted: Maggie's Way, and
The Tao of Maggie were published by Andrews MacMeel. Sniff, the final book, is currently unpublished.
